Cub Scouts Pack 296 is a group for children from Kindergarten through 5th grade focused on three core elements:
Outdoor adventure - As a pack we organize events throughout the year to get our kids outside having fun in nature. This includes hikes, campouts, campfires, plus activities like fishing, biking, and archery - Scouting is all about "outing"!
Skills & values - The Cub Scout program also includes a structured program to help Scouts learn life skills, core values, and ultimately leadership. Ever met an Eagle Scout who always seemed prepared for anything? Eagle Scouts have earned the highest rank in Scouts, and most started as Cub Scouts!
Friends & fun - Ultimately, Pack 296 is about creating a community of families that want to help their kids make new friends, appreciate the outdoors, and learn a thing or two along the way.

Become involved! We ask all adults to help at least once during the Scout year, either as a registered leader or as a helper for a specific meeting or event (e.g. campout or pinewood prep). The pack is 100% run by volunteers so we need the help! See more info here: Helping the pack
Invite some friends! Invite them to a meeting, or send them this website. Scouts that refer a friend get a special "recruiter" patch. Note that Scouts can join the program year-round.
